Last Minute DTG T-Shirt Printing
What is Direct to Garment (DTG) Printing Technique?
Direct to Garment (DTG) printing is the latest technology in the printed clothing and non-textile printing industry. DTG printing uses highly specialized printers that function like the standard ink-jet printers around your home or office. However, they digitally transcribe artwork and designs directly onto garments rather than feeding through paper. Unlike traditional methods, such as transfer printing, DTG printing uses a sophisticated type of water-based ink that ensures vibrant, multicolored, and durable prints that withstand washing, maintaining their integrity over time.
Type of artwork and designs:
Our DTG digital printers can operate with most file type images, including .png, .jpg, .eps, .pdf, and .ai, among others, for transcribing bespoke designs onto garments and non-textile items. The quality of the file is essential in determining the quality of the print. For this reason we suggest you use a file with at least 200dpi resolution. Please consider that we will not proceed with the print job if we believe the image resolution does not fulfill our quality standards. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and providing the highest quality print jobs and customer service.
If you have any further questions regarding this process our expert printing staff will be happy to assist you. Please contact us and we will do our best to answer any concerns or doubts to the best of our abilities.
When to Use Direct to Garment (DTG) Printing?
Last Minute T-shirt Printing will always process orders as customers submit their quotes to us and then offer our expertise regarding which printing technique we feel will best suit their needs. The most common type of printing method will always be screen-printing, which is the best option for bulk orders and high volume jobs. This is due to the fact that screen-printing requires set-up fees that are associated with the costs of creating individual screens as required per their design.
Direct to Garment is the best method for lesser quantity orders (typically less than 50 units) because there are no set-up fees required and thus more economical for the customer. In cases where you require small run orders, we will almost always suggest DTG because of the lower costs and higher rate of speed offered by the process. The quality of DTG printing is quite excellent.
Direct-to-Garment (DTG ) Printing Quality
Direct to Garment DTG Printing Quality produces vibrant, multicolored, and durable prints that are required of highly technical artwork and designs. This method can be used to print on both light and dark t-shirts as well as non-textile items. Again, DTG printing is ideal for small run orders but sometimes we may suggest DTG for larger quantity orders if the printing needs require highly technical designs with ultra-detailed colors. The end result is a high-quality print that is durable and long-lasting, second only to the screen-printing method.
